Wafer

Wafer headers are similar to box headers but are more suitable for wire-to-board connections. While the male end is typically soldered to the PCB, the female side of the header is crimped to a wire instead of soldered. These connectors are offered with polarizing features to further prevent mis-mating. Wafer headers are compatible with pin headers making them easy to mate and cost-effective. They can be designed and customized with various specifications of height, pitch, or numbers of rows and pins.
